I'm 33 and I'm pregnant
having just been through my first IVF cycle at the Edinburgh Royal
Infirmary. It's still early days, but I've just had my seven week scan and
have seen my baby developing. Pauline's hypnotherapy sessions have been
brilliant; they've been reassuring and have given me loads of tools for
staying calm and happy throughout my IVF cycle. IVF is an emotional
experience but the hypnotherapy has made it much easier to deal with.
I contacted Pauline at
Fertility Edinburgh as I embarked on my first cycle of IVF. She carefully
planned my hypnosis sessions to fit around my scans and treatments at
hospital. The hypnosis sessions were invaluable in helping me to approach
my IVF cycle with a positive and calm outlook. I was able to practice and
use the techniques of relaxation and positive visualisation throughout my
IVF cycle. As a result my experience of IVF was very positive. My first
cycle resulted in me becoming pregnant and 9 months later I gave birth to
a beautiful baby boy who has brought us so much joy. I would recommend
Pauline's Hypnosis for Fertility sessions to anyone seeking support with
fertility issues.

After trying to get pregnant
for two years (I conceived my first child quickly and naturally) I went to
see Pauline before going down the IVF route. I still can't believe I only
saw her twice before going away on two weeks holiday. When I came back
from holiday before I went for my third session I was pregnant.
My first child was conceived
using IVF and I felt incredibly lucky that I had been one of the fortunate
few who became pregnant on my first cycle. Three years later I wanted to
add to my family and my friend recommended Pauline because I was so worked
up about going through another cycle. I didn't believe I could be lucky
twice. From seeing Pauline I realisied I had not been lucky - I regained
my confidence and came to believe that I would conceive my second child
and I did.
A friend recommended that I
saw Pauline when I was going to have my first IVF cycle. I can't thank
her or Pauline enough as my twins (a boy and a girl) resulted from this
first cycle. I wanted twins and I got twins. Cannot recommend Pauline
enough.
When I went to see Pauline I
had had a miscarriage at 6 weeks with my first pregnancy and an eptopic
pregnancy with my second. Each of these pregnancies were natural
conceptions. My husband and I decided that we were going to go down the
IVF route as we were convinced that this would be the way to help us have
a successful pregnancy. I saw Pauline three months before I started my
IVF cycle. When I went to the clinic to start my cycle I couldn't believe
it - I was pregnant and my beautiful daughter was born 9 months later.
My first pregnancy was IVF
but I miscarried at 8 weeks. My second pregnancy was a natural conception
but I miscarried at 8 weeks. One of my friends suggested I go to see
Pauline before starting another IVF cycle. This cycle was so different to
the first and I sailed through it, became pregnant and had a gorgeous
little boy nine months later.
By the time I found Pauline
I had lost a baby at 8 weeks and had an eptopic pregnancy. These were
both natural conceptions. We then decided to try IVF as a way to have a
healthy child. My first cycle worked and I had a baby girl.
I was so afraid of going
through my first IVF cycle when I went to see Pauline. With her help and
support I found the whole process so easy. My husband and I were over the
moon when we discovered that I was pregnant and doing the HypnoBirthing
course made the journey through pregnancy an enjoyable experience.
By the time I found Pauline
I had conceived naturally and miscarried at 6 weeks - had undergone three
failed IVF cycles and was as low as I could be. However, I was not ready
to give up on my dream of becoming a mother. I so wish I had met her
earlier because my next IVF cycle was so different to the first three
cycles. I felt different and cannot say how much the hypnosis sessions
helped me. My whole life had been affected by my need for a child and now
I have one. Thank you is inadequate but thank, thank, thank you.
I fell pregnant naturally
but sadly miscarried at 9 weeks. I then had four IVF cycles (the first
cycle I became pregnant but miscarried at 6 weeks, the second cycle I
became pregnant but again miscarried, the next two cycles I did not
conceive). After five years I had given up all hope of becoming a mother
but one of my friends who had been to Pauline suggested going to see her.
The result is my son was conceived naturally and has changed my life
forever. |
